Politics

Politics deals with the government of the state in the general interest and therefore should be a noble mission somewhere between realism and idealism. Being a decisive topic for the quality of life of peoples, it should involve those personalities who have had the opportunity to demonstrate ethical sense, mental balance and operational skills and instead often ends up attracting the worst of humanity, profiles attracted only by the greed of power and money and with little sense of the state. In my opinion, civics and the art of government should be studied as children at school, to equip the future generation of politicians with that “toolbox” needed to build a better future. That’s why I thought about creating an ad hoc section on my blog.

About autonomy of thought and on investing on young people

I’ve never followed anyone, as a kid I felt respect and affection for my parents, but I was a compass for myself and indeed often for them too. I have always directed my life and often also that of those close to me with reasoning and my energy. One of my features is therefore my […]

Mission 3 started in 1989

As a young man I was optimistic, I thought that with the schooling of the new generations and the positive impact of the influences of more civilized territories there would be a convergence towards better standards for certain mental postures towards corruption, rudeness, degradation of public offices, endemic dirt. I was wrong, the love for […]

The need for elites to give the direction of travel

It is clear that an elite capable of directing human beings in curbing the climate change that will lead to unimaginable disasters within a few decades is missing. Ordinary people cannot be asked to have the vision and sense of responsibility necessary to orient themselves, it is necessary who gives the right direction. It is […]

Against the wind on meritocracy, infrastructures, education system, bureaucracy and free market

Since university time I have always worked to promote a large European motherland and the improvement of the fundamentals of Sicily: meritocracy, infrastructures, education system, bureaucracy and free market. My own entrepreneurial activity in these twenty years has been characterized by this mission. In addition, in recent years, having studied the history of Sicily, I […]

Statism, South, Duties, Moderates, Crime, Élite, Meritocracy

As long as the mythology of the State persists in Italy with a distrust mixed with disgust for everything that is private, we will be left behind. This statism is a clear problem for those international organisations that periodically beat Italy for its backwardness. The fact that our decline comes from neoliberalism is a fake […]

Italian familism is a direct consequence of the institutional degradation

Behind the strength of Italian familism there is the weakness of the state, no credible and authoritative at all. It is a defensive reaction, when the state is weak, family solidarity is strengthened. To better understand from what high sense of the state our civilization started, I like to remember one of the first consuls […]

On the disappearance of spirituality and selfishness

The disappearance of spirituality has dramatically increased selfishness. The adult generations, stealing the future of children and grandchildren, have decided to ignore the climate change, the environment, the infrastructures and education to better enjoy their present. The disappearance of spirituality is also the basis of the corruption that lurks and grows sluggish everywhere. In order […]
